Bowen Family Fun!

Last weekend, the Bowen clan (now the Bowen/Wieland/Heymann clan) gathered in Los Osos, CA to celebrate the life of my awesome grandma, Eilleen Bowen. It was SUCH a fun weekend, and these are just a few of my favorite pictures. Frequent readers of the blog (which really means anyone still reading after the security lockdown) know my cousin Jenni and her kids Ben, Maggie and the Truck. Maya completely and totally idolizes Maggie–today she was talking about Maggie at some length, days after leaving.

All FIVE Jamil and Wieland kids and four adults stayed in my grandma’s home (which is the only one we’ve ever known) for two days and two nights. It could not have been more fun–the kids got along great, and had an even better time when the aunts and uncles/grandmas and grandpas showed up, and totally freaked out with excitement when cousins Lisa, Rob and Noah were around (Rob and Noah are the stylish duo in nature pictured in this set). Lots of very early mornings and late nights; lots of sorting through my grandma’s incredible collection of old and sometimes interesting artifacts while having late-night drinks; lots of Ben collecting what turned out to be very valuable foreign currency.
