Maya has piggies

Maya kept putting Valorie’s hairbands on her head, so Valorie thought–perhaps it is time for pigtails. And TIME IT IS! Maya was completely taken with her new look, as you can see from these photos Valorie sent. She is such a little girl with her piggies–taking after cousin Maggie! I ran over and took some pictures with our camera, but of course they are trapped in the camera, as the technology vortex mystery zone at the house of Jamil continues.

We have some great pictures from Amna and Ibrahim’s visit, but not as many as you would guess…we were having so much fun, we didn’t remember to haul out the camera. Maya has a HIGH level of love for Amna. So do I–she helps with Maya, she likes to do fun stuff, she’s a totally easy houseguest, AND she taught me (wait–allegedly Mustafa, but I’ll believe that Mustafa is going to cook when I see it) how to make delicious chicken and okra. Oh, and most importantly, she makes an appropriate amount of fun of her brother, and she has a charming son who will play endless amounts of video games with his uncle. SO MUCH FUN!!
