Toddler Basketball

So, I think I’ve blogged before on this topic, but I’m too lazy to look back, so I will recap. I purchased Mustafa this *toddler* basketball game for his birthday, to play with Maya. He is very into it…some might say, obsessed with it. They play it together quite a bit (Maya gets rebounds, and she can dunk), but Mustafa also likes to play on his own, once Maya gets bored with it. He likes to talk a big game about how good he is at basketball, and I always have to remind him–it is *TODDLER* basketball. For children. He still likes to take shots from the kitchen and feel like Kobe Bryant.

I’m laughing while typing this, which is either mean or entirely predictable, or both. At least Maya is growing up with an appreciation for sports, and at least an initial fiction that her father is a super-athlete. Oh god…the laughter…will my tears short out the keyboard?
