Quick baby update

I just looked back, and April 2010 was my slowest blogging month yet. Yikes! Running around after Maya and playing ever-evolving baby games has eaten away at talking about Maya–who knew?

The big news in Maya land is that Maya has a new friend! Heather and Simon have a son–Jack William Bennett was born yesterday–right on time! And, not surprisingly, he is exactly the same size Maya was at birth, also has big feet, and is also super-cute. Hopefully we can meet him this weekend!

Maya met up with her little friends Quinn and Nate (and their parents) last weekend, and she inspired Quinn to go from almost-walking to walking! They also enjoyed smashing crackers into Jill’s carpet, and handing each other gooey handfuls of things–it was cute and gross at the same time. It was a blast and a half.

This weekend is Mother’s Day, and in celebration, I am hoping that instead of learning *yet another* word for Lola (boof, la la, da), we can get a reliable word for she-who-brings-the-cheese-and-provides-Elmo-and-bathtime. That’s right. MA MA.
