Maya likes frozen treats

Not surprisingly, Maya was very enthusiastic about raspberry ice cream. We tried it for dessert a few days ago, and she was only new-food suspicious for a split second, until she realized that it was a) sweet; b) related to milk; and c) related to strawberries and blueberries (two of her favorite foods). She went crazy for it, but I don’t think she understood that she couldn’t eat it through the bottom of the bowl.

I’m working on Maya feeding herself, so we use two spoons, one for her (the play and throw things spoon, which occasionally hits the mouth) and one for me (for eating). Slowly, Maya is getting the hang of it, but right now, Lola is getting quite a diet of yogurt and applesauce from the floor.
