Happy (late) Birthday Dada (Part 1)

Maya still lacks art supplies, but she had something better to send to her special Dada today–her ELMO balloon! She made me make a special trip back to Valorie’s house to get it (she and Lucas have been playing with it this week). She examined it closely, and then let it go…she thought it could get all the way to Pakistan, and was really happy at the idea that she could send her current favorite Elmo thing that far, but it somehow stayed in our condo. She was still all smiles, because, well, this is Maya.

Happy birthday Dada! Maya misses you, but she made you a REAL present that her lazy Abbu (or his less lazy wife) will put in the mail tomorrow.
