Strawberry Shortcake

Today, Maya tried her first pureed strawberries, and she absolutely freaked out with excitement. So far, fruit has not really been Maya’s thing; just like her mommy, she is more of a veggie kid. Until today: eyes wide at this delightfully bright mush, she opened her mouth into an adorable large O, made a “what is THIS” face when it was in her mouth, then gave a huge smile and rocked back and forth in her high chair with her mouth open for ten minutes as I shoveled it in as fast as I could. Lola was kind of amused by the ruckus.

Also today: we watched some post-season baseball while playing piano and blocks (her current favorite toys), and of course, playing with Lola. We’re also listening to lots of baby music and general acoustic music on XM radio –yay Mustafa!
