Lola's arrogance

Lola has days when she’s happy that Maya is around, and other days when she grumbles about not being the center of our attention. When one of the latter occurs, she still hovers around us or around the baby, but will convey her displeasure in subtle ways (by angling her body just so, or by crawling under a table and whining gently every once in a while).

There’s general displays of arrogance as well. We put a new slipcover on the sofa, and for the first day, we were actually silly enough to think that we could prevent it getting covered by dog hair by putting down a blanket. Silly us.
